    Question

    This may seem incredibly stupid of me, and it probably is, but is there anyway I can edit (apart from holding pause on my video recorder) stuff from an 8mm camcorder?

    You can dub it to VHS and edit between two VCR's. You can also bump it to Beta tape and edit professionally on an AVID system ($$$). You can also dub it to DV and edit on computer editing software. There's tons of possibilities, and most of them (the best ways) will cost you.
